Senior Auditor
Responsibilities:
As part of the audit team, Senior Auditor will be responsible for:
• Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating problems as they arise.
• Work on all portions of audit and accounting engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, government auditing standards and OMB circular A-133.
• Auditing employee benefit plans.
• Review and present financial statements, management letters, and related items with client and board of directors.
• Audit cost reports including Consolidated Fiscal Reports (CFR) and RHCF-4, etc.
• Perform internal control reviews, including systems review and flowcharting
• Review and develop responses to third-party audit and other correspondence.
• Review and prepare informational returns (IRS form 990, NY and additional states) for clients.
• Preparing management letter at completion of fieldwork disclosing material weakness, reportable conditions and recommendations.
Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates should have:
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting
• CPA or demonstrated progress toward obtaining CPA certification.
• At least 2 years of audit experience required executing external audit engagements.
• The ideal candidate will have significant healthcare and/or not-for-profit organization experience.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to travel throughout New York State (including limited overnight travel) is required.
