A.J.P., Audit Supervisor
“Before I joined Loeb & Troper, I had no idea how large the not-for-profit and health care fields were. One of the clients I work with has over 185 programs, employs over 2,000 people and has a complicated stream of revenues – it is a much more complex and diverse organization than many financial services firms. Also, there is a very hands-on approach at the firm, so you don’t get stuck in a corner doing isolated work – once you are assigned to a client engagement, you become part of an active and integrated team and really get to participate in the entire audit process. The combination of the industries and the culture presents a unique opportunity for learning and for career advancement.” A.J. is a supervisor in the firm’s audit practice. He works with a full range of clients, including community service organizations, schools, fundraising organizations and health care organizations. In addition to his client responsibilities, A.J. has taken a lead role in analyzing and incorporating the new “Risk Assessment Standards” issued by the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA, into the firm’s practice. He joined Loeb & Troper in 2003, after graduating from Touro College with a B.S. in Accounting. He is also a certified public accountant. When he is not conducting audits, A.J. can be found spending quality time at home with his family. |
