Harold Gelernter, CPA

Harold Gelernter provides a full range of audit and consulting services to health care and not-for-profit organizations. He is well known for his ability to provide integrated services to complex health systems where there are multiple corporate entities and programs.
Harold is widely recognized for his ability to develop customized financial models that integrate client assumptions with federal and state current and projected reimbursement schedules from which he forecasts revenues. His modeling has become a key decision-making tool for executives and board members in assessing significant activities.
With his in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of health care operational issues, Harold is uniquely positioned to consult on major infrastructure issues, such as developing information management systems, implementing new computer systems and reviewing accounting systems.
Harold also directs the firm’s pensions practice, where he leads key pension engagements and serves as the firm’s technical resource in all matters relating to employee benefit plans.
Harold joined Loeb & Troper in 1981 immediately after graduating with a B.S. from Brooklyn College. He serves on the firm’s Quality Controls Committee, CPE Committee and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He also plays an active role in the firm’s recruitment initiatives.
